- Switch from Manual/Auto Modes - Use the switch to change back and forth between modes
- Auto Mode - Scan your surroundings by holding the device in front of you and using a steady sweeping motion to investigate suspicious objects or areas. Once you have locked on to a reading, move slowly back and forth to try and hone in on its exact location
- Manual Mode - Slide your finger back and forth across the green line at the bottom of the meter to control the needle
